What happens when models of the brain become more trusted than lived human experience??

FUTURE FACADE imagines a future shaped by neuromania, where mapped brains, predictive systems, and technological representations of emotion begin overtaking the authority of the human face and body. The wearer disappears beneath a facade built from circuitry, pattern, and diagram-like structures that suggest legibility and interpretation, while covering the more contradictory and emotionally complex human underneath. The work asks what gets lost when identity becomes something “decoded” rather than lived, and when systems designed to model human experience begin replacing our trust in expression, feeling, and internal truth.
